Who we are?

EurAqua is a network of European freshwater research institutes. Our mission is to support decision making on the policies and management of Europe’s freshwater resources. We will achieve this through international cooperation between the partners in developing and promoting uptake of European freshwater science and technology.

AI and Environmental Science, 22-26 September 2025, Ljubljana

EurAqua partner University of Ljubljana convenes a session on AI and Environmental Science as part of the 28th International Conference on Discovery Science, 22-26 September 2025, Ljubljana, Slovenia. The session explores the rapidly evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) in advancing environmental studies. Respective contributions covering all branches of Earth System sciences and related technologies are invited. Topics may include, but are not limited to, AI-based weather and climate forecasting, flood and drought forecasting, aquatic ecosystems modelling, ocean state reconstruction, crop yield modelling, urban health, urban water management, nature-based solutions modelling and optimization, sensing technologies and biodiversity monitoring.
