The program focuses on co-ordinating knowledge exchange (e.g. providing opportunities for learning, sharing research outcomes and fostering researcher mobility across Europe) to support the advancement and uptake of freshwater science in European water management.

The Capacity Development program is being shaped by EurAqua partners.  It will empower early career researchers by inviting volunteers to lead the development and delivery of specific activities.  The co-convening of activities with organisations and projects beyond EurAqua is encouraged.  Specific activities were proposed and discussed at a meeting in Prague (May 2025) and these included:

  • A webinar series
  • Running workshops and conference sessions
  • Signposting of training
  • Facilitating short-term researcher exchanges

During 2025, we will focus on establishing our webinar series.  If you are interested in co-convening an activity or would like to contribute ideas please contact Anna-Kaisa or Gareth.
